Special Info  Ecclesiastes 3: 1-7, 17; to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A Time to Be Born On September 21, 1952 in the beautiful island of Grenada, God gave to Veronica Daisy McEwen and Anthony Vivian Cadore (deceased) a precious jewel named Theodora Bernadette Cadore (Wiltshire) who was also affectionately known as Bun-so, Sister Bee, and Sister Bernadette. Little did her parents know that God would use this gift for his glory and honor as she touched many lives as a servant of the Most High God not only in Grenada but also the USA. As a child, she was a hardworking person who helped her mother cared for her younger siblings by doing laundry, cooking and baking which are things that she enjoyed even into adulthood. Those who have eaten her food would complement her on how great a cook she was. Bernadette was also no nonsense, yet funny person who enjoyed a good laugh with those she loved. Family meant a lot to her and she showed that love by constantly praying on their behalf every day. A Time for Every Purpose and Every Work As a child Bernadette attended Grand Roy primary school then attended home economics classes to learn skills such as handwork, baking and cooking. She loved reading and would spend all her free time reading books that would help her become a better person and Christian. Her love for learning pushed her to go to back to school. She attended Immanuel Bible Institute and Seminary in Brooklyn NY, from which she graduated with a diploma in Ministerial. As a hard working woman Bernadette worked for former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop in Grenada, then for the Cuban Ambassador while he was stationed in Grenada. She then worked for several governmental entities in Grenada including the Grenada Airport Authority, the Ministry of Works and the Government’s printery until her departure from Grenada. In New York she worked as a care giver in the health field and also as an assistant at Precious Rose Angel Daycare, where she worked until her passing. Her hard working ways earned her much respect from all who worked with her and even on the job she will be remembered as hardworking, straight forward, and diligent and a lover of the Bible. A Time to Breakdown and a Time to Build up In 1991 Bernadette gave her life to the Lord under the ministry of Bishop George Fletcher and never regretted her decision to live for Christ and found a joy in the things of God that filled her with compassion for others and a deep desire to see her relatives come to know Christ as their savior. The old creature became a new one, and she never returned to being her former self regardless of the challenges that she faced. She allowed God to do away with the old Bernadette and allowed him to fashion her in his image and likeness. Through studying the word of God, Bernadette grew spiritually that enabled her to be an asset in Ministry that Bishop Fletcher entrusted her to work with Pastor Nelson at the La Sagesse New Testament Church, where she labored to build that ministry until she migrated to the United States. Arriving in the big Apple did not cause Bernadette to turn her back on God, instead she was more committed to serve god and work for his kingdom by evangelizing wherever she went. She became a member of Pentecostal Redeemers Temple in Brooklyn NY and was a very active in ministry where she was an intercessor, part of the evangelistic team, Ministerial Board and planning committee. Tract distribution was a favorite activity that she enjoyed and was not afraid to tell others about Christ whenever she had the opportunity. She became a spiritual giant in the things of God. A Time to Plant Bernadette was blessed with 5 wonderful children that she brought up in the house of God. Although she faced many hardships, she lived a life of faith and complete trust in the Lord. Her children can testify that she put the fear of God in them that even when she was not around they would remember her words. She believed that God had a bigger plan for her life and her children so she never stopped praying that all her children would be in the house of God as adults and that pray was answered before her death. And like the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 that her children now rise and call her blessed because she never ate the bread of idleness, she always opened her mouth with wisdom and feared the Lord. A Time to Die On April 25th, 2012 Bernadette left this world to return to her Maker and King knowing that she was given eternal life by her Savior; “….. To be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). As Bernadette rests in the arms of her savior, she is now free from affliction and pain, she knew that her God would never let her down but would come through for her. She always stood on the promises of God knowing that “he will never leave her nor forsake her but that he would be with her until the end (Hebrews 13:5). A Time to Mourn Bernadette has left many to mourn her return home including mother Veronica Daisy McEwen-Le Gaul, her children Amanda Moses, Joseph, Maurice Dwayne, Ward and Heizron Cadore; her siblings Allan Ferguson in Texas, Alstan, Royley AKA Five-cents, Edith AKA Roylyn and Gracelyn in Brooklyn, New York; David AKA Spooner, Harold AKA Jude, Agnes AKA Rona and Rhonda in Grenada; Anthony Cadore, Jeffrey Cadore, Michael Cadore and Joseph Cadore in Orlando, Florida, USA. One son-in-law: Vivian Moses. Two daughters-in law: Abigail and Jenny-Ann. One grand grandchild Jaeden whom she called Prince and many Aunts and uncles including Fields McEwen in Antigua, Winston McEwen in London, England; Clare Debellotte, Daphne McEwen, Claudius McEwen AKA Tallboy and uncle Papito, Bella McEwen, Eluta and Cicely in Grenada; many nieces and nephews in Grenada, Florida, Brooklyn, NY and Texas; many relatives and friends in New York, Florida, Antigua, London England, the McEwen’s from Gouyave, Grand Roy and Concord, the Cadore’s from Grand Roy, Black Bay and Concord, Pastor Gyimah , Ministers and members of Pentecostal Redeemers Temple in Brooklyn, NY, Pastor Nelson and members of the La Sagesse New Testament Church and Bishop Fletcher and the members of Birch Grove New Testament Church in Birch Grove, St. Andrews, Grenada. We cry tears of joy knowing that Bernadette’s season on this earth and in our lives is over and that her purpose on earth has been accomplished. She affected change for the positive in so many lives which can only be done with the help of the Holy Spirit. Preaching salvation to those who did not know Christ was God’s To see her is to see Christ. She lived the life of a true soldier in God’s army without any pretense.
