The funeral service for the late Thaddeus Rougier will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Refuge Church (2020 Foster Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11210). There will be a viewing held from 10am to 12 pm with the service beginning at 12pm.

Thaddeus Thomas Rougier better know to all as "TD" from Munich St. Andrews Grenada, he resided in Brooklyn NY and died on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the age of 68. He was born to the late Joseph and Matilda Rougier. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Rougier. He is also survived by his five children Roderick Pascal, Lesa Williams, Kymue Rougier (Melissa), Khadijah Nelson (Reginald), and Junior Rougier; eight grandchildren Jason Belfon, Lesly Williams, Malia Rougier, Chase Smith, Kaily Rougier, William Nelson, Christopher Nelson, and Myles Rougier; and one great granddaughter Destiny Herry; five siblings Beresford Rougier, Luciana Rougier ‘aka’ Christiana,, Helena Mason, Ignatius Rougier, and Alice Francis (Anthony) 'aka' Olive; seven nieces and nephews Tessa Rougier Brown, Lucille Walcott (Andy), Donette Rougier, Vanessa George (Sean) Dwight Rougier, Dorneil Joseph, and Cassandra Francis. His mother-in-law Faith Ruffin ‘aka’ Mrs. Doods and two brother-in-laws Oliver Prince and Ali Prince also survive him. He is also survived by close relatives and friends: Janice & George Antoine, Howard Lord, Jeanette Hoyt, Derick Rougier, Michael Roberts, Victor John, Deslyn Mason, Sandra Joseph, Elizabeth George, and Ciclyn Julien.

He was not formerly educated, but the intellect and capabilities of a man are not always indicated by his level of education. He was a wise man in many ways who often said "common sense was made before books." He always loved working with his hands, and learned the trade of carpentry at an early age, working as a carpenter for over 40 years, and was a member of the New York District Council for over 33 years. He was a charismatic, and adventurous man who loved life and his family. He loved people and would help any one in need in any way possible. Cooking, traveling, and dancing were a few of of his hobbies. He enjoyed entertaining and was often referred to as the man who made the best jerk pork ever. He was a was a social butterfly who was the life of any party, often the first to arrive and the last to leave. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 2020 Foster Ave, Brooklyn, NY from 10am to 12pm. The funeral service will follow on June 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Refuge Church beginning at 12 pm. The service will be held on Thursday July 6, 2017 at (1:30pm) in Munich R.C. Church. The burial to be held in Tuilleries, Munich, St. Andrews Grenada.
