An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team will visit Grenada From May 13 to 25 to conduct discussions for the 2004 Article IV consultation. This exercise is conducted on an annual basis, with all member states, to assess their economic performance for the past year and to offer suggestions on policy issues for improved future performance. The team will be headed by Reva Krieger, Assistant to the Director, Western Hemisphere Department, and will include Messrs R. Goyal, V. lledo, P. Njoroge and Y. Wu, along with Ms. Ratna Sahay. While in Grenada the team will hold discussions with various stakeholders in the public and private sectors, including: the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Leader of the Opposition, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, the management team and staff of the Economic Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance, representatives from the Grenada Ports Authority, the Grenada Chamber of Industry of Commerce, the Grenada Industrial Development Corporation, trade unions, the Grenada Board of Tourism, commercial banks and the hotel and tourism sector.
