The Embassy of Grenada, in collaboration with the Grenada Board of Tourism, USA, recently hosted a spectacular trade-tourism-investment event “ Grenada – Spice of the Caribbean (land of beauty and opportunity). The outdoor event, which was held at the Embassy, showcased Grenada’s unique tourist attractions and investment opportunities. Highlights of the evening included a mini-expo of Grenadian crafts and products and a dynamic presentation by the Director of Grenada Tourist Board USA, Mrs. Christine Noel-Horsford. In his opening remarks, Grenada’s Ambassador Denis G. Antoine invited the participants to look at Grenada for more than leisure, but to explore our exciting history, and discover the many opportunities for investment in Grenada. Guests included corporate executives and stakeholders of the tourism industry, including hotel, airline and travel agencies. Attendees included, US Airways, Air Jamaica, Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Holiday Inn Hotel, Wachovia Bank, Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T), travel agents and writers, tour promoters and potential investors from the Washington metro area. Following the presentation, guests were entertained by the sweet sounds of live steel pan music as they dined on Grenadian cuisine and drinks under the beautiful Washington skies. Guests noted the event as being timely and offering a better insight into Grenada’s uniqueness.
