The Ministry of Education wishes to inform parents and guardians of students who receive assistance through the Needy Students’ Assistance Programme that the Programme begins on Monday, July 19, 2004. All students who receive assistance from this Programme should carry with them their booklist requirements. All recipients at the secondary schools are reminded to bring their application form that was issued to them at their school, when they attend their interview on the selected date. They are also asked to return the books that they will not be using for the next academic school year 2004-2005. A special appeal is made to all fifth formers who received assistance last year, who are kindly asked to return, to the centers, the books that they received and will no longer be using. New students should be accompanied by a parent or another adult. Please listen to the radio for the days when the Ministry’s team will be administering the programme in the various parishes.
