GRENADA - DOWN, BUT NOT OUT
click
The stadium that hosted a recent CAC Championships may be in a shambles and accommodations may be in short supply as a result of the recent hurricane Ivan which devastated the Isle of Spice, but Charles A. R. George, president of the Grenada Athletic Association, does not see this as an impediment to his island continuing to play its’ role in regional competition. Quite to the contrary. Charlie has just issued an Invitation to his neighbors in the Eastern Caribbean to participate in the Nemwill OECS Half Marathon which will be held in St. George’s, Grenada on Sunday, 12th December 2004. Accommodations and meals will be provided for two athletes and one official from each OECS member federation And there will be cash awards for the top five finishers, both male and female, with trophies being awarded to the oldest and the youngest finishers, male and female as well as the largest team finishers.
