Newly appointed Ambassador HE Ruth Elizabeth Rouse, presented her credentials today (November 5th 2004) at noon to the Secretary General of the United Nations, HE Kofi Annan, as Grenada’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The Secretary-General warmly welcomed the new Permanent Representative and expressed his sympathy and support from the United Nations body towards the rebuilding of Grenada in the wake of Hurricane Ivan which devastated the Island on September 07. Ambassador Rouse conveyed the deep appreciation of the Government and People of Grenada for the immediate response and active participation by the respective UN agencies, during Grenada’s time of need.
