Grenada will be represented at the main draw of the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl Tennis Tournament in Miami, Florida. Grenada’s top junior tennis player, Kevon Charles, leaves the State on Thursday (December 9) for Miami, where he will participate in the Boys 14 and Under Category in the Orange Bowl, which runs from December 18 to 24. Kevon is one of only three Caribbean players to qualify for the main draw of the 256-draw Orange Bowl Tournament. Kevon will also participate in the Boys 16 and Under Category of the Prince Cup from December 10 to 17. A Grenada Boys Secondary School (GBSS) student, who is coached by Ministry of Sports Senior Tennis Coach Richie Hughes, Kevon captured three Boys 14 and Under titles this year at tournaments in Trinidad, Barbados and Jamaica. Internationally, Kevon ranked as high as No. 1 in the 14 and under age category in the Caribbean and Central American Region of the International Tennis Federation. Currently he is ranked No. 6.
