GRENADIAN SWIMMERS FOR BARBADOS MEET THIS WEEKEND  
MORE THAN 340 ATHLETES are expected to compete in the 2006 Aquatic Centre International Invitational which swims off from Friday to Sunday at the Aquatic Centre, Wildey. The largest contingent will be coming from four-time defending champions Pine Hill Alpha Swim Club with a total of 78 – 29 females and 46 male. Overall, Alpha accounts for 485 entries, more than any other club. Grenfin Swimming Club from Grenada have 331 entries from 40 athletes. Rodney Heights of St Lucia have 241 entries from 33 athletes. Stingrays have 28 athletes and 143 entries, Sprite/Sagicor/Innotech Pirates have 27 swimmers and 146 entries and FirstCaribbean Silver Fins have 20 athletes. Former three-time champions Marlins Swim Club of Trinidad and Tobago have a much smaller contingent this year, 25 athletes for 191 entries. The other clubs taking part are Blue Dolphins and Petrotrin Barracudas of Trinidad; Barbados Water Polo; Dolphins of Grenada; Heatwave, Vincy Sharks and Tridents from St Lucia.
