Namibia is to establish diplomatic relations with Caribbean island country of Grenada with aims to promote trade and economy between the two countries, the Namibian government said on Friday. The Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) reported from Windhoek that the Cabinet took the decision at a government meeting on July 4 and has mandated the Foreign Affairs Ministry to foresee this task. "Once the diplomatic relations between Namibia and Grenada is established, it could foster trade, tourism, training and economic cooperation," the NAMPA report said, citing a statement issued by Information and Broadcast Ministry. The Cabinet has approved that Grenada be covered by the Namibian Embassy in Cuba once diplomatic relations have been established, it said. Source: Xinhua
