ST. GEORGE'S UNIVERSITY TO CELEBRATE 30 YEARS OF TEACHI...  
On January 17, 2007, St. George's University will host an anniversary celebration in honor of the first day of classes 30 years ago. Titled "From the World, to the World: 30 Years of Global Innovation," the festivities will initiate a year-long celebration marking an impressive road to academic excellence and innovation. "We're very proud of St. George's University's achievements over the past 30 years," says University Chancellor Charles R. Modica. "These events will allow past and current students, faculty, as well as the Grenadian community to help us celebrate." Various events, ceremonies and public lectures will take place throughout the year, many designed to reward those instrumental in the University's advancement. The activities will also provide a platform for speakers to stress today's importance of global awareness in education. The bell above the Bell Lecture Hall will ring 30 times to signify the launch. Students will be given the day off to enjoy the campus activities. Alumni, faculty and Grenadian residents are also invited to join the opening ceremonies.
