Grenada's Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell, has told Canadian officials that he was concerned that the fight against terrorism was diverting attention away from the illegal drug trade.
Speaking during a meeting with Canadian Member of Parliament Russ Hiebert and Canadian High Commissioner Michael Welsh, Dr. Mitchell said the Caribbean must unite with the United States and Canada to fight the growing drug trade.
Dr. Mitchell said while there were some positive developments in the region’s fight against drugs and crime he was worried about the impact drugs were having on the region. |
