CATEGORY:SPORTS(FOOTBALL) ------------------------------ By Lester Smith (GFA director) Inside Grenada correspondent Thursday February 15,2007 The Morne Jaloux Football Competition is generating lots of excitement amidst the fact that we are in the Cricket and Athletic period. Scores of football fans emerge at the Morne Jaloux Playing Field on evenings to witness keen competition among teams who also ply their trade in the Premiership of the Grenada Football Association. The Knock Out Competition is now at the Semi-Final Stage: Generation and Men from the Ridge will contest the first match while the other will involve Skill Youths and the much talk about Boys on D Block. These two matches are carded for next Wednesday and Thursday respectively. In the League Cup, the Competition has reached the Quarter-Finals; Today, Boys on D Block will do battle with Gregs from 4:30 pm. Then on Sunday Skill Youth will play against Generation. Both Darbeau Lions and Building Tech. have already qualified for the next stage of the Competition.
