KUWAITI FUND TO OFFER GRENADA A 2.5 MILLION KD LOAN  
Kuwait Fund for Arab and Economic Development (KFAED) Monday said that it had signed a loan agreement with Grenada in St. George's worth 2.5 million Kuwaiti dinars for financing a road transport project. KFAED added in a statement that the project aims at supporting economic and social development in Grenada and reducing transport costs through rehabilitation of sub-roads in various parts of the Island as well as maintaining safety measures on these roads. According to the statement, the project includes the civil engineering works required for reconstruction and rehabilitation of about 50 kilometers of unpaved roads. It also offers providing cars, furniture, stationery items computers and necessary maintenance equipment. KFAED deputy director general Hisham Al-Waqayan signed the loan agreement with Grenada's Minister of Finance Anthony Boatswain. Following Monday's agreement, the KFAED has thus offered Grenada five loans totaling 10.6 million KD in addition to two technical aid grants worth 298,000 KD for financing two feasibility studies covering transport and infrastructure.
