GRENADA MP TO STEP DOWN FROM PARTY EXECUTIVE AFTER DOME...
Member of Parliament for Grenada's St Andrew South East constituency is stepping down from the National Democratic Congress executive. Kenrick Fullerton was recently accused of being involved in domestic violence and the party says it will not support behaviour of this type. Fullerton made the announcement at a press briefing on Tuesday, admitting that an incident did occur, but refuting some of the allegations surrounding it. Opposition Leader Tillman Thomas, in applauding the MP for coming forward, said the NDC is recosidering a new candidate for the next general election. While this might be good news for some of the other contending political parties, Fullerton told reporters that he will remain committed to, and will redouble his efforts to serve the people of his constituency. The MP said he does not condone violence of any sort, especially to women, and used the press briefing to make an apology to his family, the NDC, the opposition leader and his supporters. The MP said he will continue to represent St Andrew South East to the best of his ability. Reprinted from caribbeannetnews.com
