Tivoli Drummers, one of Grenada's well-known cultural groups, have announced their 6th Annual Drum Fest will this year be hosted at the same time as World Cup in Grenada. The Drum Festival is carded for April 13-15, 2007 at Moonlight City. In the past, the festival has attracted performers from within the region, such as those from the French Caribbean, and also from Canada and the United States of America. This year participants are slated to come out of Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua and Tobago. Also scheduled to perform is Aje Africa from Nigeria and Masabo from Canada. The Festival has been plagued by a shortage of funds, and the group is actively seeking the public's support for this worthwhile effort to keep a rich aspect of Grenada's cultural tradition alive.
