ANDREW’S: According to information reaching the news desk of Grenadian Connection (GC), there was an accident on the Balthazar main road last night (sometime around 10 – 11pm) which resulted in the death of one young man who is from the Clozier area but resided at Morne Longue. The accident occurred on a small bridge about 200 meters away from the new bridge that was constructed alongside the “Tin Bridge” at Balthazar. It is alleged that the occupants of the vehicle were at a ‘Bloco’ in the Mirabeau area last evening, after which they had traveled to Grenville. They were on their way home when tragedy struck. Two vehicles were allegedly travelling towards the Birchgrove area at high speed. The vehicle in the front, a white Corolla, is believed to have struck the side of the bridge and spun in the road several times. In the ensuing chaos, one of the occupants of the white Corolla lost his life. The accident victims were subsequently carried to the Princess Alice Hospital in St. Andrew’s.
