GRENADA OPPOSITION SAYS GOVERNMENT MUST COME CLEAN ON R...
Opposition Leader Tillman Thomas is calling on the present administration in Grenada to come clean with the people concerning a letter being circulated by Reynold Benjamin dated September 28, accusing the New National Party administration of signing a contract with a Russian company named Global Petroleum Group Limited. The Opposition Leader stated the government was paid US$2.5 million (EC$6.75million) by the Russian group. Thomas said the government should come clean with the people and give an account of the money and for what purpose it was used. At a press briefing held on Tuesday the opposition leader said his party continues to believe in accountability and transparency. The letter has been sent to the Prime Minister and copied to the media, among others. Reprinted from Caribbean Net News caribbeannetnews.com
