ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO BE LAUNCHED
CATEGORY:LAUNCH ---------------------- INSIDE GRENADA Saturday March 25,2007 In July 2006 a group of past students of the Grenada Seventh-Day Adventist Comprehensive School came together with the aim of revitalizing their alumini association. A steering committee was set up to spearhead the realization of this dream. According to a spokesman for the committee “…a significant amount work was accomplished during this period; including the development of a draft constitution and the mobilization of a number of past students that includes students that would have entered the school as early as 1958 when the doors of the school was first opened.” On Sunday April 1, at the school at Mt. Rose, St. Patrick’s the alumni will be formally launched. The day’s activity will begin at 1:30 p.m. and would involve discussions on the draft constitution which to be adopted, as well as the election of an executive body. The day will end with the installation of the executive body and a feature address by Mrs. Gloria Payne-Bandfield who will speak on the theme: ‘Remembering the past, Embracing the Present and Shaping the Future’. The current principal and the president of the Grenada Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist are also carded to address the gathering.
