CATEGORY:FASHION SHOW ------------------------- INSIDE GRENADA Sunday March 25,2007 GRENADA: The Miss Grenada World Contestants ‘strutted their stuff’ on the catwalk in the garden at Jenny’s Place in Grand Anse on Saturday, March 24 on a perfect day, weather wise and in turn out, impressing the 300 odd patrons by their professionalism. The Fashion Show, entitled ‘Beauty with a Purpose,’ was coordinated by Lexan Fletcher of Spices Modeling and Media Management Agency. The Patron of the show was Lady Williams, wife of Sir Daniel Williams, Governor General. Proceeds after expenses, will go to the Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique Foundation for Needy Students Inc. The Fashion Show is one of the lead up events to the Miss Grenada World Finals on March 31. The winner will represent Grenada at the next Miss World Pageant to be held in China in November. Former Miss World (1970), Jennifer Hosten was issued the franchise for the Miss Grenada World Pageant by the organizers of the Miss World Contest earlier this year. The Fashions were all from local boutiques and local designers. They were colourful, lively and well presented by the Contestants who modeled them in an enthusiastic and professional manner to the delight of the sell out crowd at Jenny’s Place. “We are really pleased that everyone seems to have enjoyed the afternoon. It is simply amazing to see how much the girls have progressed since they began in early February.” Said Jennifer Hosten.
