Marryshow Community College are claiming new found awareness of Disaster Management after receiving a baptism in the field. They have completed a visit to the fort Frederick headquarters of NaDMA and a tour around the country to study various mitigations sites. This included mitigation structures erected on the west coast after the storm surge caused by Hurricane Lilly, the Kick Em Jenny Monitoring centre in Marli St. Patricks, and slope stabilization features in Grand Etang, The students toured NaDMA headquarters and were briefed on a number of areas including the Emergency Operating centre. I never new they were equipment like that” said another who marveled at the range of communication devices at NaDMA.
