GRENADA PUTS PLANS IN PLACE FOR THE USE OF NATIONAL STA...  
Now that Cricket World Cup matches have ended in Grenada, the goverment has said it will work out a logistical plan for the nation with regards to activities being staged there. Sports Minister Roland Bhola in an interview with Caribbean Net News says his government would continue bidding to host other international cricket games at the Queens Park facility. Grenada has been given a good rating in all its ICC inspections and approvals and the facility is being described as a legacy for the Caribbean. Bhola said his government sees the long term benefits of the facility, which can help with the development of sports on the island. The Minister also boasted of the country's two practice venues in La Sagesse and Progressive Park. Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell said cricketers have expressed their pleasure with the national stadium and complimented the pitch as well as the high qulaity of the practice facilities. “The inquiries have already begun to flow, we are once again being actively considered as a venue of international meeting and conferences,” he said. Both Minister Bhola and Prime Minister Mitchell emphased that the government will put its efforts in upgrading some of the other sporting facilities, while ensuring that the stadium is maintained.
