Prime Minister Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell has called on Grenadians and other Caribbean nationals to continue praying for Prime Minister Sir John Compton of St. Lucia. Prime Minister Mitchell noted that Sir John is a “visionary leader” who has dedicated his life to improving the, lives of St. Lucians and Caribbean nationals. On Tuesday morning Dr. Mitchell called Acting Prime Minister of St. Lucia Stephenson King and asked that he convey best wishes to Sir John and to the St. Lucian people. Dr. Mitchell also stated that he and many other Caribbean leaders had sought advice from Sir John and said that the words of wisdom provided by the St. Lucian leader were invaluable. “I call on all Caribbean people to remember Sir John in their prayers, let us hope that he will make a full recovery and continue to serve the people of St. Lucia ,” said Dr. Mitchell. “We as leaders look forward to continuing to work with Sir John and I am sure that Sir John while putting his health as top priority is looking forward to being in his beloved St. Lucia very soon.” Source: gov.gd
