CATEGORY:SPECIAL REPORT ---------------------------- INSIDE GRENADA MONDAY May 21,2007 One of our correspondents (on special assignment in St.Lucia) has reported a serious accident along the Gros Islet main road around 3:00 pm yesterday afternoon. The report states that a black car traveling southward – towards the direction of Castries – had just overtaken a vehicle when the driver had to content with another vehicle emerging from a feeder road. The driver had to swerve away to avoid a collision and ended up running off the road and plummeting into a nearby ravine. The driver of the car (black) as well as the other occupants sustained various injuries; none of them seem life threatening. The car itself was badly damaged as a result of the accident. Scores of concerned onlookers converged at the scene of the vehicular mishap to observe what was taking place and to offer their assistance if it was required. An ambulance, however, quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured passengers to the hospital for medical treatment. Bystanders indicated that in recent weeks, two other accidents had taken place in the same area. The fact that a third accident had occurred (to some) meant that there was some malicious supernatural presence in the area – a ‘jumbie’ or a demon.
