Our letter of April 26th, 2007 advised you as follows: 1. ART was concerned about the lack of information and absence of a public discussions re the Port Louis Project 2. The agency had requested a technical comment on the Port Louis Project from the OECS Social Sustainable Development Division. 3. Dr. Vasantha Chase of the OECS SSDD had advised that the SSDD was willing but the approval of the minister, i.e. Minister of Environment, yourself was required. 4. That our request was in keeping with the principles 4b and 12b enunciated in the St. George’s Declaration Our letter of April 26th, 2007 formally requested that approval be granted to the OECS SSDD to provide the technical comment. The people of the country have grave concerns and they do not know what arrangements the Government of Grenada has entered into. We hereby reiterate our request Hon. Minister, that you grant approval to the Social Sustainable Development Division of the OECS to provide the requested technical comment to our agency. We also request that you make the necessary request to the Physical Planning Unit and any other government agency to provide the required information such as the plans and report of the Environmental Input Assessment. We look forward to your positive response. Best regards! ___________________________________ Sandra C. A. Ferguson Secretary-General
