The Consulate General is collaborating with four Toronto-based Grenada organizations - The Spice Isle Association, Grenada Association (Toronto), GBSS Alumni Association and the Carriacou Association of Ontario in staging the first Grenada Day in Toronto. Grenada Day, scheduled for July 14, 2007, will provide an opportunity for nationals to celebrate and showcase our Grenadian heritage in our Canadian home, in a picnic style, one-day event. It will serve to foster a better relationship among the many Grenadian organizations in Toronto and will be conducive to the promotion of national unity and family togetherness. The event will also serve to forge and promote greater cooperation among the Grenadian community and with other community partners such as the Toronto Police and the Toronto Fire Fighters.
