CATEGORY:POLITICS ----------------------- INSIDE GRENADA THURSDAY July 12,2007 by the National Democratic Congress The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has read with contempt, the statement issued on Wednesday July 11, 2007 by the New National Party (NNP) with regard to the Conference on the Economy to be held at the Grenada Trade Centre on Friday, July 13, 2007. We also note with special interest that in comments made to the media on Wednesday July 11, 2007 by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance Mr. Lennox Andrews, concerning the organizations who will be meeting with the IMF, no mention was made of either the Parliamentary Opposition or of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). We advise the general public that the Parliamentary Opposition is scheduled to meet with the visiting delegation from the International Monetary fund (IMF) today, July 12th 2007, at 1.30p.m. Please be further informed that both matters will be addressed at the Conference which will take place at the Trade Centre tomorrow from 9:00a.m. We take this opportunity to once again invite everyone to attend and participate in this national consultation on the state of the Grenadian economy, the socio-economic challenges facing our country at this time and the way forward.
