CATEGORY:SPORTS (CRICKET) ------------------------------ INSIDE GRENADA SUNDAY July 22,2007 The inaugural matches of the 2007 TCL Group WI U19 Challenge Cricket Tournament will take place in three different venues in St. Kitt's on Tuesday July 24, 2007. Conaree, Cayon and Warner Park are the venues for the first round of 3-day matches. The One-Day or limited overs games start on August 13. The top 4 teams will contest the limited-overs semi-finals on August 17 at Cayon and Conaree respectively, with the final on August 18 at Warner Park. This year's tournament is the first in which the young players will experience conditions similar to World Cup conditions. Teams will wear coloured clothing and play with white balls for the limited-overs phase. Performances in this tournament will be the basis for selecting the WI Team for next year's ICC U19 World Cup in Malaysia in February.
