CATEGORY:CULTURE -------------------- INSIDE GRENADA WEDNESDAY July 25,2007 by Wallace J.A GRENVILLE: The St. Andrew’s Development Organization (SADO) will be holding its annual 10K road race on Saturday August 4, 2007. The race is open to participants of all ages. The race is expected to start in the village of Tivoli at around 3:00PM and will end at the Grenville Car Park. Persons who are interested in participating in the run are asked to contact SADO’s Secretariat at telephone number 442-6493. Additionally, SADO wishes to inform the public that it’s annual Emancipation March and Drumfest will be coming off on Wednesday August 1, 2007. The starting time is 6:00PM. The March begins at the Carlton Junction in Grand Bras and moves on to the Grenville Car Park for the Drumfest. Patrons are encouraged to wear African outfits to commemorate this very historic event as well as to walk with their flambeau/ massanto.
