GFA NEWS - BOCA JUNIORS BOUNCE BACK WITH A WIN

CATEGORY:SPORTS(FOOTBALL) ------------------------------ INSIDE GRENADA WEDNESDAY July 25,2007 by Lester Smith GRENADA: Boca Juniors came from two goals down to defeat Mt. Rich at Plains three (3) goals to two (2). Derrol Redhead put in one about 30mins in the game. However, he missed a penalty 5mins to half time for the equalizer. The equalizer came in the 82nd min from Quimby Peters. Redhead put in the winner in the 87th min to earn the victory for Boca Juniors. Boca Juniors continue their campaign on Thursday at Tempe against MNIB Hampshire United. MNIB Hampshire United earned their first victory on Monday after a hard fought match against Tempe All Blacks at the Tempe Playing Field. All Blacks opened the scoring early in the match but it was two (2) late second half goals that sent the All Blacks fans home disappointed. All Blacks next match will be on Thursday against Spartax at the Alston George Park. Trade Center Honved and Carenage earned a point each at Tanteen. Honved would have wanted the win to book a second spot in the standings but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. St. Paul's continues to struggle after losing 3-1 to Spartax over at Queens Park. Spartax is now 2nd in the standings. St. Pauls next encounter is against Tempe All Blacks on Monday next. CLASS Herb Roots must feel disappointed when they lost 3-1 at home to Sunshine Flour Happy Hill. Herb Roots is struggling at the bottom of the table
