MITCHELL VISITS COMPTON
Grenada Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, who Monday paid a courtesy call on ailing Prime Minister Sir John Compton, says the 82-year-old leader is in good spirits. The visit took place at the private residence of the Prime Minister who has rarely been seen in public since he suffered from a series of mild strokes in May, a mere five months after leading his United Workers Party (UWP) to victory in last December's general election. "It has always been my intention to visit Sir John since he took ill, but I have not had the opportunity of seeing him until today, and I was able to have a private exchange with Sir John in relation to his health and state of affairs both locally and regionally," Mitchell noted. The Grenada Prime Minister said he was exceptionally pleased that he was able to visit Sir John, who he said was in good spirits and felt that he was slowly regaining his mobility skills.
