CATEGORY:SPORTS(CRICKET) ---------------------------- INSIDE GRENADA SATURDAY August 18,2007 by Trevor Thwaites ST.GEORGE'S:An 18-man squad has been selected by the St George’s Cricket Council to begin training for the national Under-15 Tournament starting next week. The players are the cream of the crop of the just ended Digicel St George’s Cricket Academy, which attracted 70 youngsters that was staged over six weeks. The squad holds its first training session Saturday August 18th at the National Stadium. The players are: Chris Greenidge Captain, Keon George, Kalil Robertson, Preston Mc Sween, Casimir Thomas, Kishon Mitchell, Lenton Cadore, Calum Noel and Delon Anthony. Other players in the squad are: Kevin Frank, Rahel Stewart, Ali Mc Intyre, Andre Ettienne, Kaycee George, Treson Headley, Raphael James, Ronnel Lambert and Ardell Beggs. A 15-man National team will be selected following the competition for the Windward Islands Under-15 Tournament to be played here in October. St Vincent and the Grenadines are the Defending Champions.
