GOV’T AND PEOPLE OF GRENADA SENDS MESSAGE TO PEOPLE OF ...  
CATEGORY:DISASTER ---------------------- INSIDE GRENADA TUESDAY August 21,2007 (The following is the text of a message from the Government of Grenada) ST. GEORGE'S: The Government and People of Grenada would like to send prayers and good wishes to the Governments and people of Jamaica, St. Lucia, Dominica and Martinique after the passage of Hurricane Dean. The Government and People of Grenada understand what our neighbors are experiencing and would like to stand in solidarity with them after their traumatic experience with Hurricane Dean. It is with sadness that we received the news of at least two casualties in St. Lucia and we continue to prayer for no further loss of life. Prime Minister Dr. The Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell phoned Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson this morning( Monday August 20), to express his support for the Government and people of Jamaica. He told Prime Minister Simpson that Grenadians were praying for the people of Jamaica and that the Government and people of Grenada were willing to assist in any way possible.
