ST. LUCIA’S PM BACK IN HOSPITAL
St. Lucia's Prime Minister Sir John Compton was Sunday admitted to a private hospital, suffering from an infection of the chest. Sir John, who has been recovering from a series of minor strokes since April, was admitted to the hospital on the outskirts of the capital at the recommendation of his doctors. The prime minister had also been hospitalised in the United States as a result of the strokes. Acting Prime Minister Stephenson King said the PM would make his exit from elected politics by year end. Sir John returned to active politics a few months ago to lead his United Workers Party (UWP) back into government after a 10 year absence.
