MINISTER BOWEN WINS AGAIN
Grenada’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Gregory Bowen has again been victorious in his defense against a lawsuit re-filed in the United States accusing him of impropriety by US businessman Jack Grynberg. Grynberg’s attempt to revive the case against Minister Bowen was dismissed on Friday, September 28, 2007 on a submission filed by Mr. Bowen’s attorney Jade Johnson. After being defeated by Bowen in the NY case in August, Grynberg at the instigation of known political groups in Grenada, amended the lawsuit by increasing the number of persons being sued based on information gathered through a local media personality. Bowen’s legal team commented that they expected this outcome. They reiterated their position that the case had been maliciously motivated aimed solely at damaging the character of Minister Bowen for political gains. This latest victory brings an end to the Grynberg New York litigation against the minister. Source: Office of the Prime Minister
