CRICKET ROUNDUP FROM THE GRENADA CRICKET ASSOCIATION  
Grenada has retained the Windward Island three Day Championship held in St. Vincent over the last two weeks by playing unbeaten in that tournament. However, the Spice Isle lost the One Day Limited Overs Tournament in the finals against Dominica. The Grenada Cricket Association wishes to announce the start of the 2007 Inter Parish 20 / 20 Competition, this weekend the October 13 and 14 at two venues – Progress Park and La Sagesse. At the end of the Competition 26 players will be selected to commence training in preparation for the 2008 Stanford 20 / 20 Tournament in January in Antigua. Meanwhile the National U. 15 players will commence training Saturday October 27 in preparation for the upcoming Windward Island Tournament in December in Grenada. The Grenada Cricket Association is also proud to announce that five Grenadians have been selected to represent the Windward Island Team in the upcoming KFC Limited Overs Competition in Guyana starting on the October 16. The players selected from Grenada are Rawl Lewis – Captain, Devon Smith – Vice Captain, Andre Fletcher, Nelan Pascal and Heron Campbell. It is also important to note that Garvin Roberts and Denise George have been selected in the Squad to represent the Windwards in the longer version of the game starting January 2008.
