PM TEASES OPPONENTS WITH FAVOURABLE POLL RATING |
|
|
The Prime Minister of Grenada, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell has been teasing his opponents by suggesting that he could call a snap general election to take advantage of favourable ratings in a recent opinion poll.
The survey carried out by Barbadian pollster, Peter Wickham, placed Dr. Mitchell's New National Party, six percentage points ahead of the National Democratic Congress.
But Dr. Mitchell says he is aware of the limitations of the poll which featured a significant number of uncommitted voters.
While the Prime Minister does not have to call a general election for at least another year, the opposition leader, Tilman Thomas says he is willing to have one now.
