POLICE REPORT ON PADDOCK TRAFFIC ACCIDENT  
Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department are continuing investigations into an incident which led to the death of 56-year-old Isabella Barbara Scott of Paddock in St. George’s. The incident occurred around 1.30 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, when members of the CID on a routine operation attempted to stop a vehicle on the Lowther’s Lane in St. George’s. The occupants of the vehicle ignored the Police instruction and attempted to evade the Officers proceeding along Lowther’s Lane in a southern direction on to the Paddock main road. The vehicle thereafter impacted with the Scott’s residence causing significant damage to the building and the death of Isabella Barbara Scott. The occupants of the vehicle were Joshua Cobb 18 year old resident of River Road in St. George’s, the driver of the vehicle, Alfred Flemming – 49 years old and Rudolf Sylvester – 38 years old both residents of River Road in St. George’s. Flemming was hospitalized, Cobb and Sylvester received minor injuries, and are presently in Police custody. Vehicle registration # T 5351, left hand drive Dodge Dakota was involved in the incident. Police investigation has since revealed that the vehicle was licensed and insured but none of the occupants possess a valid driver license. The death of Ms. Scott records the six road related fatality for the year. The police investigation continues. In related Police news, Nigel Lewis of La Potrie in St. Andrews was convicted on charges of sand mining by the Grenville Magistrate Court on Monday 23rd October 2007. It was the order of the Court that Lewis carry out 60 hours of community services at the Hermitage Government School, his driver’s license be suspended for a period of three months and is disallowed access to any public beach in the State between the hours of 6.00 pm and 6.00 am for a period of one year. If any part of the Court order is violated, Lewis will serve a three month prison sentence at Her Majesty’s facility at Richmond Hill is St. George’s.
