SUPPORT FOR CARICOM TRAVEL CARD
Heads of Caribbean Community institutions who met in Guyana to agree on better cooperation are pushing for measures that allowed for easier travel and security across the region during the Cricket World Cup to be maintained. The recent staging the Cricket World Cup is reported to have seen Caribbean functional corporation at its best especially in the area of crime and security. The Executive Director of Caricom's implementation agency for crime and security Lynne Anne Williams told BBC Caribbean that many legacies from that experience will endure. She said these would include "the Caricom travel card which will support the free movement concept within the region". Reprinted from bbccaribbean.com

SUPPORT FOR CARICOM TRAVEL CARD
Don't fool yourself to believe that people are just going to be rushing into another Country without being looked into .. When they are coming it would have to be with something that the various countries cannot on their own provide .. They have /should be checked out properly before the final decision is made I am from St Lucia and I live in Montreal and I had a job offer in Trinidad and I had to get Police records from St Lucia as well as Montreal to start with . I certainly hope that's the same for all countries..

As one grenadian who would love to see the carribbean come together ,i am a bit sceptial about this caricom travel card ,being the country with the less population and such a rich heritage ,i am afraid we are to one that stand to loose ,it has always been that forigners are treated better than residents ,and right now they are consider to be in the highest esteem ,locally most peole would say ,well they have the money .there may be some good in so doing ,but i am afraid we will import therein a lot of criminals ,fraudsters and people who just wish to trample om our good nature or stupidity to make themself king or queen in another mans land ,i sure wish i am wrong ,but thats my feeling ,good luck ,
