Burkhardt is one of 107 hopefuls vying for the coveted Miss World 2007 title in Sanya, China. The Grenadian beauty continues to impress, and pageant experts have placed her among 21 who should make the semifinals. The ranking of the contestants is updated daily and is based on how much attention each girl garners during the lead-up to the grand finale. This year there are five fast-track events, mini competitions from which the winner earns a place in the semifinals. However, pageant aficionados are not the only ones with an interest in predicting who will become the next Miss World. Bookmakers from all over the world are taking bets daily on who is likely to win the title.
