CATEGORY:RELIGION --------------------- INSIDE GRENADA NOVEMBER 19,2007 by Osborne Baptiste Fellow Grenadian, visitors, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: May God Almighty have mercy on us, and in these difficulties times guide, direct His church and comfort those that are distressed by the actions of unscrupulous men. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: I have repeated this testimony many times that the Lord hath said unto me. “I have called you to prophesy to the nation and to heal their diseases. I have read in Isaiah.ch. 54: 17,and the Lord sent his prophetess to me to confirm the same in this ministry. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: It was always God’s intention to lead his people, and anyone who tells you that God is pleased when the wicked rules, is not of God; and is deceived. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: many persons have met me and asked of my opinion on Pastor Hood’s decision to enter into politics. And I am glad that on the subject at hand, that my remarks are not opportunistic. On Friday 15th, November 1991, in an article that I wrote on the Informer: Entitled. “No Repentance: No Prosperity.” “Today it is the church, and when I say the church I will be distinctive. I mean the Spirit filled, born again people of God. Yes renewed in their spirit; and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. These are the people that can make Grenada sink, or float. The church must lead and not be led. The blind are not suppose to lead this nation, God wants you the church to lead.” Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: It is unfortunate and ironic that our pastors are running into the arms of the unsaved politicians. If we are running after them; why should they run after us? Or is it that some of us have nothing to offer them? Now Pastor Hood has declared his hands and his actions are dead wrong. God has called us to be the head; and not the tail. But there are others that are quietly, privately, and yet feverishly working behind the scenes for NNP, and NDC. It is like God has given some of his pastors to NNP; and some to NDC. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: On Friday, March 03, 2006, On the Grenada Today I had an article entitled: “Time For A Christian Government.” I now quote a few lines from that article. “Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: the will of God for this nation is not to replace one sinner man with another. God wants a righteous government for Grenada; and unless the church repents and pulls away its support from the unsaved man. We will continue to see the destruction of this country. Brothers and sisters the politicians say that the church should not be in politics and they are right, (although we know that those statements are made conveniently.) For they know in their hearts that it is a nasty business that the church is participating in. They know that in the politics of the day, that there is corruption, which also includes nepotism; and that some leaders of the past have even been accused of shedding blood. And hence the church should disassociate itself from this unholy alliance; and form a political party that would prepare in earnest the grounds for reconciliation and repentance for our nation.” Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: The Churches should get together and begin a dialogue on the way forward for the establishment of a Christian Democratic Union or Political Party. The aim of the party must be above all things that God Almighty takes his rightful place in this nation and lead. You will be saving Grenada from another round of blood shed. The party also must make sure that the basic principles and functions of the frame work of our constitution are reactivated, and that the three bodies that are primarily responsible for the effective function of an elected government, must be in place. There are two other burning issue, and it is this; that not only should the judiciary be given its independence to function, but also Law enforcement should also be allowed to function not at the behest of the personal ambition of any individual; but by the dictates of the constitution of the land. In other words any one that violates the law should be dealt with; without fear or favour. It is God and our laws that should be feared, not man. TO BE CONTINUED
