SEX CRIME SHOCKS GRENADIANS
The Grenada National Organisation for Women (GNOW) has described as "horrifying", a case in which three young men have been charged in connection with a sexual offence involving a 13-year-old secondary schoolgirl. The matter has attracted national attention, not just because crimes like these are rare or rarely reported here, but because the mother of one of the men, 20-year-old Craig Joseph, is the country's Social Development Minister Yoland Bain Horsford and his father is Speaker of the House of Representatives, Larry Joseph. The other two accused are Shameel LalGie, 21, and Troy Andrew, 26. A Magistrate's Court last Thursday granted bail to the three men. They are ordered to reappear in court sometime this week to answer a charge of defiling two females, ages 13 and 14. Reprinted from jamaicagleaner.com

Just getting a little curious here .. To operate a Tatoo Parlour is there any Law /Requirements as to the ages of the patrons etc > Just as there is one for Alcohol /Tobacco ? Can I just come to your beautiful Country and set up one as a Business ? It seems as though this could be a good business venture if there are no restrictions.

According reports now I see that one of the young men is 'charged" on " his own" He is not with the "GANG" I tell you and it stems back from January 2006 so the person who made the coment that his pick up was long in coming knew what he was talking about .. True saying no smoke without fire Whatever it is Gang or not gang I certainly hope that the punishment suits the crime and we'll all continue to pray and offer Mass for all of us especially at this time ..

This is sad to read! Why is this going on? We really need to pray for our Grenada.

This is not a situation that should be exploited for political mileage, but a rather serious crime allegedly committed by individuals one of whom has parents who are in the the political arena. What we should be concerning ourselves with as citizens of our beloved land is the plight of the victims and how we can educate ourselves to prevent such tragedies from befalling our youth. Most of us have female members in our family and our reaction would be different..

It seems as though we the men are speaking out . I definitely agree that it was a terrible act to have been committed and I certainly feel for all parties because all have parents. Don;t think for one moment the guys are not feeling the guilt now that their parents are being looked at .. trust me they do not have to be politically associated for fingers to be pointed. It is really sad All we need here at this time is prayers and more prayers and anyone else who was thinking that they could do something like that let it be a lesson...NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. When I see that objectively subjectively knows of a Club conducting activities that are not legal and it only takes something like this to happen before it is brought to the publics' attention .. I say to that person Shame on you .. Anyone else who knows of such activites PLEASE AT THIS TIME OF PAECE AND GOODWILL let the authorities know put politics aside and as a good citizen do what you know is right.. Peace
