INSIDE GRENADA THURSDAY December 13,2007 Press Release St. George’s : Prime Minister Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell is being featured by the University of the West Indies in the pages of The Pelican Magazine. This biannual publication, published by the University, aims to educate Caribbean citizens on the University’s impact in the region. The magazine takes a holistic approach to the dispatching of information on all aspects of life in the Caribbean, including research, politics, environmental and social issues affecting the region today. Each publication highlights the efforts and successes of key leaders and experts and their contribution in their various sectors. The Pelican Magazine made note of Dr. Mitchell’s charismatic nature and his steadfast leadership following the passage of hurricanes Ivan and Emily. As a result, Dr. Mitchell was featured by the Pelican in an article entitled, “Welcome to Grenada: an island of survival, recovery and change.” Dr Mitchell spoke of the struggles and challenges he faced as Grenada’s leader in the island’s reconstruction efforts and his continuous contribution in Grenada’s developmental goals.
