INSIDE GRENADA DECEMBER 30, 2007 By Osborne Baptiste Fellow Grenadian, visitors, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Peace be unto you, and eternal grace and mercy; from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: In the year 2008 the world is poised for setting the stage for what I called “the pre-tribulation- tribulation,” and those are dangerous times of troubles, before the real tribulation; that will bring an effective end to the power of the Security Council, and the United Nations as we know them today. Satan will use those years of violence to show man’s inability to govern him self, to make peace; and keep the peace. This will bring great fear on the earth, and uncertainty; thus paving the way for the man of perdition. In 2008, the weather will continue its erratic behavior and there will be signs in the heavens. In Grenada there will be unrest, “drama and political intrigues” but we can avoid it all; if this nation humbles it self before God Almighty, and repent. I have already told you of the six judgments that are hanging over Grenada. (1) A terrible earth-quake.(2) Tsunami. (3) Volcanic activities. (4) Famine. (5) Revolution. (6) Hurricane. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: I thank you for your patience, but it is time to proceed with the subject matter at hand. Brothers and sisters in Christ in Christ Jesus: I see in the word of God that there are two ways to receive power from on high. (1) Direct application of an anointing by the Holy Spirit on the life on an individual for a specific mission. e.g. Abraham; Isaac, and Jacob. We may recall that Jacob wrestled with the angel: And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Is’ra-el: for as a prince has thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Ge.32: 28. In the case of Moses he was given Aaron and Miriam and two helpers in the persons of: Be-zale-el and A-ho’li-ab Ex. 31: 2 & 6. These two men received special anointing to build the tabernacle of God, and are outstanding examples of God’s ability to give wisdom,knowledge and understanding that can be applied instantly. Brothers and sisters in the New Dispensation we have another example in Saul on his way to Damascus. He made it quite clear that he learnt nothing from the apostles as far as spiritual matters were concerned, and also boasted that he worked harder than them all. (2) The second way of getting this special power from on high: is by patient application in pray; and supplication with an unfaltering dedication to the Holy Spirit, and with faith to succeed. Like on the day of Pentecost; each and every one of us as Christians must create, our own day of Pentecost, else we will never have power from on high. If we become respecters of persons, and idolaters of those disciples and Christians we have read about in the bible, we will never get there. They were supposed to be examples, not gods. We will never get there, if we believe that God had especially; favored them; because that is to say to him, that he is unequal in his ways. That attitude does not sustain faith, for growth. We will never get there if we believe that we were born to remain under a pastor all the days of our lives. That’s spiritual backwardness. If there is no growth, then there will be spiritual retardation. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: God has given unto the church: (a) “Gifts of the Spirit with Power” 1Co.12: 1-10. (b) “Gifts of powers, for administration.” 1Co.12:28. & Ep. 4:11. (c) Gifts of confirmation of our spiritual status with God and man: and that’s the one we call, the fruit of the spirit. Ga.5: 22 & 23. The fruit of the spirit is also a gift with power, from the Holy Ghost; and is a determinant; as to whether or not, an individual is saved.
