INSIDE GRENADA JANUARY 10, 2008 by Osborne Baptiste Fellow Grenadian, visitors, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Grace, peace, and mercy unto the beloved of the Lord; from God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: The Church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be a place of refuge, deliverance; and hope for the deceived and healings for the oppressed of the devil. The church is not a place, just for fine speeches, filled with philosophy, and good recitation of a couple verses in the bible, delivered with much noise; and in an emotional way. (Don’t get me wrong, there is noise with power; and there is noise without.) Or is it just the place, to remind the people incessantly; of tithes and offering. Mal. Ch.3: 9 TO 12. Our Lord Jesus said: for the workman is worthy of his meat. This may sound as a foolish question, but I assure you that I am still scriptural. How many preachers or pastors in this land, are worthy of their hire? Look at the state of our churches: just a few are trying to operate with any semblance of Holy Ghost Power. The sick comes in; and walks out even more sick. The demonic oppressed of the devil walk in our churches every Sunday; and walk back out without being challenged. The people are told to sow a seed that never seems to grow. They are told that it will bring forth forty fold, sixty fold, and a hundred fold: and course of the request is scriptural, and it is the intention of God that it be so. But the only time it will work brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: is when it is given in faith, and willingly by a cheerful giver; and if the workman is worthy of his hire. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus; God sees and knows every inch of exploitation, and every scam that is performed on his people, and you can rest assured that those that have turned the house of God into a business place, and its occupants the merchandise for their own benefit; will pay the price. Many cannot help their congregation because they have no power with God. All this begging that takes place in the Churches should never have being, if only the gifts of the Holy Ghost were at work in these churches, everything would have fallen in place. The people would have given without asking a question. Let us be honest with God some of you are more concerned about titles from man; and association with big names on television than power from above. Like: pastor, reverend, bishop, arch-bishop. Some time ago I saw one fellow who had before his name: "The Most Holy Reverend" … A preacher with all these titles and also those that claim that they have five fold ministries, and cannot heal anyone; or cast out the demonic spirits from the possessed is certainly a fraud. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: all decisions that are made by you in the house of God; be sure that you are led by the word of God, and by the power of the Holy Ghost. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Let me repeat that every gift of God is given by the Holy Ghost with power. I did not lay down the criteria for the manifestation of the signs that will accompany the believer: Christ did. Our Lord Jesus said: These signs will follow them that believer. Read Mk. 16: 15 TO 18. And if there is nothing that is working in the gifts of the Holy Spirit for you, the right thing to do is to examine yourself; and find out, if you are still in the faith. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: The war between the heavenly forces of God and the forces of darkness continues unabated, from the day Lucifer rebelled against God Almighty until now. The apostle Paul recognizing this power play wrote: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Ep.6:12. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ep.6: 13. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Without power with God it is impossible to put on his armor, and fight with it; and any Christian that is qualified to fight in it will be victorious. And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God 1 Co. 2: 4 & 5. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and know not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1Co.4: 19 & 20.
