THE PROGRESS WILL CONTINUE
INSIDE GRENADA JANUARY 14, 2008 From The New National Party (NNP) 2008 promises to be a year of continued progress. The ups and downs, accomplishments and shortfalls were all in good stead as this Government is fully committed to bringing betterment to the People of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martnique. Lending from the old adage: “Rome was not built in a day.” Similarly, the long and winding road to Grenada’s full development is a work in progress. The requisite steps, in the face of daunting challenges, are being taken as we continue to reach important and timely milestones. We have laid the foundation. And by the grace of God, good Governance, and the labour of our people, the prospects are extremely good. We can genuinely identify with a future of peace, stability, hope, opportunity, kindness and compassion for every Grenadian as well as continued economic growth. Self-determination is now an overriding issue. It is incumbent on us as a people to create a vision of what we want, setting the right goals, instilling the right values and attitudes, learning self control, self motivation and other mental skills, acquiring a good work ethic, building cooperative relationships, working as a team, preventing and resolving conflict, and having compassion for others. Government is well aware of the tremendous importance of the moral and spiritual values that usually encompass and control most of the other values. 2008 is a year in which Grenadians will make the critical decision as it relates to the way forward…resulting in the ultimate litmus test for our blessed nation. It is encouraging to realize that the people and business community has adopted Government’s policy to “Let the Progress Continue. We express our thanks for a job well done and look forward to a New Year of unity and continued productivity.
