Why is it that the NDC seems to have ignored certain constituencies in this NATIONAL service day? How about the constituencies of St. Andrew's NW, St. Patrick's West, St. George's NW, St. John and Carriacou and Petite Martinique? I think the people in these areas have every right to feel left out. Also, while I applaud the NDC on this initiative, the timing seems rather interesting - now that there is some feeling that elections might be called soon. Why didn't the party see the need to do things of this sort after Hurricane Ivan and Emily when people lost their homes, crops and so on and were in dire need of assistance, be it in the form of material or just labor? As I said before, the idea s a good one, but it would have seemed 'more genuine' if the NDC had a track record of engaging in that sort of service in the past.
