SAASS HOLDS SUCCESSFUL 10K AND 5K ROAD RACE |

ST. ANDREW’S: The St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (S.A.A.S.S) held it’s annual 5K and 10 Road Races today as part of it’s buildup to the 2008 Inter-House sports meeting, scheduled to take place on February 14, 2008. The four houses vying for sporting supremacy are Julien (red), Layne (yellow), Nash (blue) and Pigott (green).
Approximately thirty students (15 male and 15 females) from each of the four Houses in the school took part in the road races - the girls participated in the 5K and the boys in the 10K. The girls ran from Conference Junction to the school while the boys ran from Mt. Rose Playing Field to the school at Telescope.
The top ten (10) positions in the two races are as follows:

The current point standing as of today (Thursday January 24) sees Julien’s House out front with 304 points; Pigott’s House with 233 2/3; Layne’s House with 209 and Nash’s House on 168 1/3 points.
The school’s heats program continues tomorrow and into next week.
