TAMCC LOSES LECTURER
INSIDE GRENADA JANUARY 25, 2008 from TAMCC The T.A. Marryshow Community College is saddened at the passing of one of its Lecturers; Mr.Anthony Prosper. Mr. Prosper joined the College in 2003 in the School of Arts, Science and Professional Studies as a History and Caribbean Studies Lecturer. He taught second year History Students and has had a consistent pass rate of over Eighty percent. Mr. Prosper is best remembered for his amiable disposition and the way he seemed to never be daunted by a situation or a comment. His dedication to his profession and his students was exemplary. He was never too busy to discuss any issue with his students and could be seen from time to time in their company. In the words of the Human Resource Manager Irwin Abraham; “The news of the death of Anthony Prosper has left the College in a state of shock. He was an integral part of the college community and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him”. Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Science and Professional Studies (S.A. S. P. S) Dr. Nichole Phillip, said he was an asset to the College and the students he taught. She agreed that he would be missed and wondered at the prospect of following in such a man’s footstep. “He was an excellent teacher”; she said. Mr. Anthony Prosper was a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in History, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in History with a minor in politics and a Certificate in Education from the University of the West Indies UWI). The T. A. Marryshow Community College’s Administration, Staff, Faculty and Students join in extending heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Anthony Prosper. Losing a loved one is hard but they should take comfort in the fact that his life on earth, though short made a difference to others so his memory will live on. May his soul rest in peace.
