POLICE REPORT ON BLACK BAY SHOOTING

INSIDE GRENADA FEBRUARY 09,2008 from the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) BLACK BAY SHOOTING Two persons have been detained and one vehicle impounded, as members of the Criminal Investigation Department and Officers of the Western Division intensify an investigation into an incident that left one man dead as a result of gun shot wounds received. The incident occurred just after 9.00 last evening, Friday 8th 2008, in Black Bay in St. John’s at the business establishment of Anthony Audley Frederick, known as All Stop Supermarket. In what police believed to be a robbery attempt of the supermarket led to the shooting of the proprietor. Mr. Anthony Audley Frederick – 59 year old Black Bay resident was rushed to hospital where he later died. A post mortem will be performed later this after noon. Police investigation continues. UNDATE NEW HAMPSHIRE FATALITY. A post mortem performed on the late Ian Whiteman of New Hampshire in St. George’s confirmed death as a result of stab wounds received. Whiteman was stabbed during an altercation on February 7th 2008 in New Hampshire. Two other New Hampshire residents, Eugene Bartholomew and Elon Whiteman, brother of the deceased, were also hospitalized. No charges have been laid but the Officers of the C.I.D. continue their investigation.
